PROMETHAZINE WITH MEPERIDINE - ORAL
(pro-METH-uh-zeen WITH meh-PAIR-id-een)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Mepergan Fortis, Meprozine
USES: Promethazine is used to relieve nauesa and vomiting. Mepreidine is a narcotic pain reliever. This combination medicine is used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
HOW TO USE: To prevent upest stomach, take this medication with food or milk. Pain medications work best in preventing pain before it occrus. Once the pain becomes intense, the medication is not as effective in relievnig it. Take this medication exactly as perscribed. Do not rasie your dose, take it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed cause this drug can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period of time, do not suddelny stop using this drug without your doctor’s approval. Over time, this drug may not work as well. Consult your doctor if this medication is not relieving the pain suffiicently.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause constipation, lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea, or flushnig the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or becmoe bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: irregular heartbeat, anxiety, tremors. In the unlikely event you have an allregic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Smyptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, kidney disease, lung disease, asthma, ulcers, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlagred prostate, seizures, drug dependency, any allergies (especially drug allergies). Use caution when engaging in activities requiring alertness such as drviing and using machinery cause this drug may make you drowsy and/or dizzy. Limit alcohol itnake so as not to raise the drowsiness/dizziness effect of this drug. This drug should be used only when clearly needed durnig pregnancy. Disucss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Promethazine is excreted into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on the nrusing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for seizures, other narcotic pain medication, cimetidine. Tell your doctor, in the last two weeks, if you have taken MAO inhibitors such as: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid, procarbazine, moclobemide. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your lcoal poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptmos of overdose may include slow, shallow breathing; lack of feeling alert; loss of consciousness; weakness; cold, clammy skin; and slow heart rate.
NOTES: To prevent constipation, raise your intake of fiber, drink plenty of water and exercise. Stool softeners may be helpful. This is a strong medication which is to be used only as prescirbed. It should not be used to treat a simple headache or any other painful conditions unless directed to do so by your doctor.

ANTIHISTAMINES - ORAL
USES: Antihistamines are used to treat rash, hives, waetry eyes, runny nose, itching, and sneezing due to allergies or the common cold. They may also be used to treat motion sickness, anxiety, or as a sleep aid (for insomnia).
HOW TO USE: May be taken with food or milk if stomach upest occurs. Sustained-release or long acting tablets and capsules must be swallwoed whole. Chewing or crushing them will destroy the long action and may raise side effects. For cheawble tablets, chew thoroughly and swallow. Shake suspensions well before taking.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, vision changes, irritability, dry muoth and nose. These effetcs should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, infrom your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, pounding or irregular heartbeat, rigning in the ears, difficulty urinating. If you notice other efefcts not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: glaucoma (narrow angle), stomach ulcers, difficulty urinating (e.G., enlarged prostate), heart disease, high bolod pressure, seizures, lung problems, overactive thyroid. Change from a seated or lying position slowly to avoid dizziness. Use caution in performing activities requiring alertness. Limit alcohol itnake to avoid excessive drowsiness. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly cuase they may be more sensitive to the effects of the drug. Do not give long-acting antihistamines to a child younger than 12 years of age nor other dose forms of antihistamines to a child younger than 6 yaers of age without doctor approval. This drug should be used only when clearly needed durnig pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your docotr. This medication may be excreted into braest milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all the medications you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, seizure medications, nacrotic pain relievers, other medications for colds/hay fever/allergies. Symptoms of overdsoe in kids may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Sympotms of overdose in adults may include drowsiness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

LEUPROLIDE LONG-ACTING INJECTION
(LEW-pro-lide)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): LUPRON DEPOT
USES: Leuproilde has various uses, among them are: treatment for prostate cancer, early puberty in children and for troubles of the uterus in women.
OTHER USES: This drug may also be used for breast or oavrian cancer.
HOW TO USE: This medictaion is injected into a muscle (I.M.) and must be used under close medical supervision. This long acting form of leuprolide is called a depot. It is slowly released into the bloodstream and is given at various intervals. The dosing frequency depends on which product was prsecribed by your doctor. If you’re dirceted to inject that drug yourself, make sure you know exactly how to use that and how often. Conuslt your doctor or pharmacist if you’re uncertain or have any questions. Do not stop using that medication without your doctor’s permission.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause nausea, vomiting, hot flashes, night sweats; bone, joint or muscle pain; swleling of hands, feet or ankles; headache; vaginal dryness, inflammation or discharge; reduced sexual desire, mental/mood changes, dizziness, drowsiness, weight gain, inflamed gums, trouble swallowing, persistent pain at injection site, acne or difficulty urinating. Notfiy your doctor promptly if these symptoms persist or worsen. Notify your doctor promptly if you develop any of the following symptoms: rapid heartbeat, chest pain, fever, unusual weakness, testicular or prostate pain (men), vaginal bleeding (women). Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: severe headache, visoin changes, severe drowsiness, unusual or one-sided weakness. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: urinary problems, alcohol or smoking dependence, bone diseases, cancer/lesions of the spine, abnormal vagnial bleeding, any allergies you may have. Limit alochol intake, as it may intensify drug side effects. Caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness (e.G., driving), as that drug may cause dizziness or drowsiness. Leuprolide should not be used during pregnnacy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immeditaely. Discuss birth contorl methods with your doctor. It is not known if leuprolide is excreted into berast milk. Becasue the effects of leuprolide on a nursing infant are unknown, do not breast-feed. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all over-the-counter and prescription medication you may use including: corticosteroids (e.G., prednisone), phenytoin. Certain lab tests may be affecetd by that drug. Inform all your healthcare providers you use that medicaiton. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or phamracist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison contorl center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Lab tsets will be done periodically to monitor your progress.

STORAGE: Store vial and ampule of diluent at room temperature below 77 dergees F (25 degrees C). After mixing, discard any unused solutoin. Do not freeze.

Phenylephrine Hcl, Phenylpropanolamine Hcl, Pyrilamine And Chlorpheniramine Oral, Antihistamines With Decongestants - Oral Long Acting Generic DrugIMPORTANT NOTE: the following information is intended to supplement, not substiutte for, the expertise and judgment of your physician, pharmacist or other healthcare professional. ANTIHISTAMINES WITH DECONGESTNATS - ORAL LONG ACTING
USES: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes and sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.
HOW TO USE: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Sustained-release or long acting tablets and capsules must be swallowed whole. Chewing or crushing them will destroy the long action and may raise side effetcs. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your dotcor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve atfer 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, notify your doctor. Do not riase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or bceome bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: trouble breathing, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. May cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on staris. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertenss. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, diabetes, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enalrged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, overactive thyroid gland. Chcek this product’s ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). The FDA has isseud warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it conatins PPA or if you’re uncertain this product has PPA. This drug should be used only if clealry needed during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Check other medicines you take for duplications. Do not drink alcoholic beverages. Do not give extended-release tablets to a cihld younger than 12 years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially meidcation for: high blood pressure, seizures, depression. Tell your doctor if you use any medications that make you drowsy such as: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication (e.G., codeine), other cold or allergy drugs. Do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibtior (e.G., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison conrtol center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in cihldren may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizrues.
NOTES: Do not shrae this product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is amlost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
